Celebrating National Puppy Day, 2018
Did you know? Today is a special pet holiday– National Puppy Day!
According to the official website, it is “a special day to celebrate the magic and unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives. But more importantly, it’s a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills.”
So in honor of this day and the mission, a made a little dog video with 60 seconds of adorable rescue puppies! I’ve put together some behind the scene videos and photos from a photo session of Brittany Rescue in Texas’s foster puppies.
I photographed these puppies at their foster home in Arlington during the Summer of 2016. As you might imagine, they were all adopted. After all, who could resist those faces!
Their mom, Pepper, came into the rescue as an owner surrender. Well as it turns out she was also pregnant with these four pups. I photographed her maternity announcement as well. Yes, dog maternity photos, you read that right. Haha! This was one of the many silly and adorable photos from her pet portrait session.
Oh and if you’re looking for a Brittany Spaniel, BRIT has many wonderful dogs- of all ages- looking for forever homes, including two puppies I’ve heard!!!
BRIT is a wonderful dog rescue organization that does so much good throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth rescue community (and beyond throughout Texas!). I’ve volunteered with BRIT for 5 years now and can’t say enough about how much I adore the breed and the rescue group.
