The countdown is on! As fall starts slowly moving in, the focus at Jenna Regan Photography shifts to thoughts of colorful leaves, fall photo sessions, and of course Christmas photo sessions.

It’s 105 days away today but I’m already excited.

November and December are very busy months for me as I get ready for Christmas with photo sessions and client orders.

In 2014, I started a Jenna Regan Photography tradition— photos of dogs with Santa.

It was so much fun and I couldn’t tell you who enjoyed it more- the dogs, their people, or me!

There’s a lot of thought and planning that goes into all of my sessions and Christmas is no exception.

As a matter of fact, I have been planning for 2015 since 2014! I hadn’t even made it to the 26th of December without furiously scribbling ideas down and shopping after Christmas sales for additional props and decor to add.

I was still brainstorming in March and April while taking Easter photos with dogs too. It’s something I have continued to think and plan about all year long.

Sure there are other options like pet store photos with Santa or rescue events with Santa stopping by for photos that will pop up all over the DFW area in November and December.

If you want just a photo or two and something quick, convenient, and without much investment or variety, they are a fun, simple option.

But if you want something to turn heads and bring smiles, put on your annual Christmas cards, order for the wall, make gifts out of, or share on social media. Then I have the perfect one-stop-shop option!

What I do is a lot different than other Santa options and of course, I think, way better (can’t resist saying it) if you want something super unique and tailored just for you and your dog.

It’s photos with Santa on steroids.

There are tutus, giant Christmas presents, reindeer ears, cute signs, “cookies” with Santa, and many, many more props than you can imagine for us to choose from.

You can even bring your own to add in! I photographed 70+dogs (if I remember the number correctly, it may have been more) last year and not one session turned out the same.

Each background, set-up, and prop was different from dog to dog. That is part of what made it so unique, adorable and so much fun!

OH and did I mention, most importantly, these are outdoor sessions with a professional PET photographer. No studio backdrops which also helps us create a one-of-a-kind image!

A few more things have to be finalized before I can share all the details, but I can’t wait to do it again this year! I have some great additions and plans to make this year even better.

Dogs and Santa… is there anything cuter than a sweet dog buddying up to Santa?

If you’re wondering what that sight would look like you can check out my spin on it in the photos from last year below. These are just a few random ones, as I could never pick favorites!
