2015:  Easter Dog Photo Sessions, McKinney TX
“Pastel Paws”

holiday-dog-photography-north-texas

After an awesome Christmas season (thanks to all of you who were a part of it!) and many requests to have more special holiday sessions, I just couldn’t wait to plan the next one.

I thought about offering a Valentine’s Day themed session and I have a bunch of cute ideas that would make it so much fun! But with craziness of wrapping up 2014 and some big design projects, I decided to hold onto those and revisit in 2016. (I’ve already got a collection of props and ideas so Valentine’s Day sessions next year are likely happening!)

With Easter the first weekend in April, it seemed like planning for March photo sessions would be perfect! My next adventure is “Pastel Paws” OUTDOOR pet Easter and spring themed photo sessions.

In most of my regular sessions, we keep the photos natural and focus on the bond between dogs and people and showing the dogs’ personalities. So these special holiday themed sessions give me a chance to be more playful and creative with props. And who doesn’t love an adorable dog dressed up in bunny ears, right?!

But that’s just one of my ideas… I have so many fun plans! I have been collecting all sorts of props and shot ideas and, just like the Christmas sessions, I am sure that these sessions will be absolutely adorable! If you want to see some of the fun from Christmas check out the video below or my blog post. This will give you a good idea of the style of photography I’ll be focusing on for Easter as well. (I’ll be doing those sessions again, with awesome additions, in fall of 2015 so keep it in mind for your dogs!)

Here are some of the highlights:

*15- 20 minute photo shoot with me, complete with all sort of holiday decor and special touches. We’ll have plenty of time to get your dog comfortable and to capture his or her personality! (If time allows, I will likely spend even more time with your dogs!)

*Outdoors, natural setting.
This is not a cookie cutter experience indoors with a backdrop. That is great for some, but is just not my thing! I love working outdoors and creating a variety of shots. So that’s what I am doing!

*Fun Easter experience. To make it even more special, the package will include an Easter basket with doggie goodies!

*Expect around 10-15 photos to choose from in the online gallery, after the event. The package includes two 5x7s (a $38 value), you pick the images. They will be mailed to you approximately a week after you make your selections.

(Also, these two images, along with any others purchased, will also be provided as complimentary web-optimized digitals so you can share and enjoy!)

*You are welcome to add on any products I offer later when you see all the awesome photos! I will have some special products and samples for you to see on the day of your session.

*Posed and natural shots! I have so many fun ideas to encompass the spring and Easter theme… Imagine your dog looking curiously up at the camera with bunny ears on and surrounded by beautiful spring flowers! I am keeping the shots and props a secret for now, but rest assured these will be fun and one of a kind!!

As always, you are welcome to bring your favorite holiday outfits and toys too! Though, don’t worry I have quite a collection already!

Like the Paws and Claus sessions, I would like to do something different with each session. With all the dogs I photographed, there wasn’t a single session that was identical to another. By mixing up the background, props, and poses each session is even more special!

I am so excited about this and totally have an obsession with buying holiday props right now. I cannot wait to take these adorable photos and enjoy spring outdoors! (Also I’m open to suggestions and ideas, if you have anything you would love to see happen, just let me know!)

Dallas area pet photographer, Jenna Regan announces 2015 Easter sessions “Pastel Paws” for your dog.

But the point is, if you would like to create some precious memories and Easter/Spring photos of your dog, I would love to have you and your dog (or dogs) there!

The cost is $105 and that includes all of the above for two dogs. If you have more dogs, no problem! Just let me know. Each additional dog is an extra $10 and you will have additional goodies in the Easter basket.

If you want to be a part of this fun spring photo session, don’t wait! Due to the time I will be spending focusing on each dog, I will only have a limited number of spots. I believe they will fill up quickly! I am offering two dates so don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re interested.

Important Note:
There won’t be an Easter Bunny for these sessions. I went back and forth thinking about this and decided against it for two reasons. Primarily because I think it will be too scary for most of the dogs. But also because I care about quality (of the photos, props, experience, session, everything!) and the Easter Bunny suit options are more limited and I don’t want to take away from the images. The photos will definitely be clearly Easter and Spring related. (You wouldn’t believe the number of storage bins I have filled right now in front of me with props and décor… it’s all ready to go!) And don’t worry if your dog needs to be on a leash in photos, I have several options to make it work and there’s always Photoshop to take the leash out. :)

The Location and Other Important Things to Know

Erwin Park is the park we are going to use. It’s a beautiful location and I have photographed there before. The trees and leaves should be quite lovely by mid March. It is off the beaten path but just a little ways out of town and easy to get to.

There are plenty of places to park, which is really important to me. And it is easy to find the park! (Plus I will have very specific directions for everyone!)

I have been there on the weekend many times and it is not overly busy or crowded. We won’t have to worry about people walking in and out of the shots or distracting the dogs.

Also we are away from streets and traffic, making it even more safe and secure for the dogs during the photo shoot.

Because advanced reservations are required, you won’t have to stand in line with your dog waiting on your turn. I’ll do my best to keep things moving and keep the process streamlined. My goal is to get your session done without any stress on you or your dog! (Also a plus from the typical holiday pet photos offered at pet stores… just saying!)

Erwin Park is located at 4300 County Road 1006, McKinney, TX 75071
